Internet Lessons
Internet students need the following equipment:
1. High-speed internet access on a computer that is near the piano.
2. An acoustic piano or digital piano with MIDI or USB ports.
3. A web cam that is compatible with Skype (see information below)
They will also need the following programs installed:
1. Skype - a free program which allows us to communicate live. The picture on this page is what I see on my computer screen when teaching a student who is not in my studio The inset is what she sees on her computer screen. I can also move my camera so that she can view my hands on my piano when needed, or I can show her something in her music.
2. Internet Midi - a program which can be purchased and downloaded from Time Warp Technologies. This program is only useful with electronic pianos.
